Witch or fairy circles are a natural phenomenon that are mostly found in forested areas and grasslands. BUT legends say these are in fact caused by witches, fairies, lightning or lovemaking snails ( :-) ). Their round shape and sudden overnight appearance makes them even more mystical, some may even grow up to 10 metres!! :o Once you enter the coven you can’t get out by yourself. Some stay all night…….others never come home again… To avoid this fate you can take measures; before entering run around the ring 9 times, or when it’s a full moon following the direction the sun travels during the day!
The red cardinal that comes flying in brings prosperity to those who see or hear him sing it’s song. This may come in handy for those who are bewitched…The bird's performance may trigger nostalgic memories of better days gone by for those who care to listen. The red cardinal does not occur freely in our area, but surprisingly, one was spotted nearby on 3 Nov at 11:28. With the caption "blown over with the storm?". At that time I was actually painting the bird in the studio. C00L !!!
